John Jahan
Head of Safety and Fleet
With his Father being in the transportation industry for 48 years, it was only natural that he would follow his father’s footsteps and take over the family business.
That he did for over 20 years. Lack of freedom and limited opportunities to further grow his business made him decide to move to Canada with the dream of providing a better future for his children. Shortly after immigrating he decided to join the trucking industry and has never looked back. Having been an owner operator and a business owner with a fleet of trucks, John is a crucial entity in this business as he oversees all driver activity, including their training, safety and compliance as well as the management and maintenance of our fleet.
Pari Shahani
Executive Assistant
With a background in the hospitality industry Pari brings in a unique perspective when it comes to customer service and company culture. With the core belief that happy staff members take better care of customers and perform better as a result, she takes on the duty of an executive assistant to the managers in our company. With over 30 years experience she takes care of all internal administration and communication, as well as interdepartmental policy making and overseeing all staff scheduling and payroll. Nicknamed “ mom “ a day without Pari in the office is just not the same.
Parisa Jahan
Head of Marketing
With 29 years experience in retail, automotive sales and real estate, she brings in valuable experience with advertising to the table. In her 5 years in the auto industry as a sales and marketing coordinator and over 10 years doing the same in real estate she was responsible for company visibility in all media platforms, from radio and newspaper to google, internet, social media and direct mail. Today as the head of marketing with us she develops and implements strategies to introduce High Park International to an array of companies and businesses and therefore creating opportunities by generating leads, coordinating meetings, proposing dedicated run scenarios and actively pursuing new business partners.
Michael king
Managing Director
Started in the sales industry at the age of 14 by taking a door to door sales job. In his 26 year sales career he took on various roles in different companies ranging from sales representative, team leader, finance manager, to sales and general sales manager in fields such as telemarketing, retail sales and automotive franchises. After 19 years in the auto industry he decided to leave the dealership world and start a new venture with his father John. Having worked for manufacturers such as Toyota, Honda, GM, Chrysler, Acura, and Hyundai he brings in a corporate structure and management style with a philosophy that is often lacking in the trucking industry specifically designed to focus on results, efficiency and improving the bottom line. As the managing director he oversees all departments, primarily focusing on sales, generating revenue, establishing new relationships with business partners and growing the operation.
